EMME - Engineering Metals for Mobility and Environment

Driving towards a sustainable future

EMME is a pioneering project for the conversion and recycling of essential metals used in electric vehicle batteries.

Our mission is clear: electric mobility must be built on responsibly sourced, transformed, and recycled materials, in compliance with the strictest environmental standards. We are dedicated to developing high-level industrial capacity and technological expertise here in France.

A conversion plant for nickel and cobalt, as well as a materials and processes laboratory, will be operational in 2027 at the Grattequina site in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France.

By 2030, the EMME project aims to meet over 30% of the materials requirements of the French electric mobility sector.
